Product Description

Description Grows 2-3 ft. high with long, striking cream and green striping sword like leaves the have distinct midribs along part of one edge.  The root grows shallowly across the soil and produces twin offshoots from each side along the length of the rhizome.  These offshoots can extend in growth to develop their own twin offshoots as well.  Not as rapid-growing as its green counterpart.

Plant in wide-mouth shallow pot.  Place root against side of pot for maximum growing space across the pot and to prevent it jumping out. Rooted plantlets can be cut from the main rhizome in spring or summer.  If plantlets have not developed enough roots, expose them to water and repot when roots are sufficient to anchor the plant

Zones 4-11

Grow in Sun to part shade.

Goes fully dormant during winter. Likely to require annual repotting
